Gayle Moher
Photographed at the 2004 Night of Champions in New York, New York
Born April 7, 1967 in London, England
Resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
Gayle has been bodybuilding for 18 years, starting right after her daughter was born in 1990. She received pro status in 1996 at the NPC Nationals in Dallas, Texas.
“As a child I was very shy, so I did not like to talk in front of people but loved to perform so I became a ballet dancer and model. I see bodybuilding as kind of an extension of that. One gets to express oneself through their physique but one does not have to be vocal. Although now I am far from shy and have been involved in many projects on TV, in movies and on stage. I am always striving to improve my physique, not in gaining more muscle mass but improving what I already have, refining and redefining. I also believe that one’s feminity is very important.”
Competition Highlights: 1996 Nationals – 1st place overall; 1999 Jan Tana Classic – 1st place overall; 1998 Jan Tana Classic – 2nd place; 1999 World Championship – 3rd place; 2002 Jan Tana Classic – 3rd place middleweight; 2002 Southwest USA Pro Cup – 2nd place heavyweight
